The Pavilion is proud to announce the appointment of Justin Boschetti to the role of Executive Director, effective January 2026.

Having served as Governance Advisor to The Pavilion in 2025, Boschetti will lead the organisation into a new strategic chapter focused on expanding access to high-quality arts and cultural experiences in the Southern Sydney region.

Boschetti brings deep institutional knowledge alongside more than 25 years’ experience across Australia’s performing arts sector. He joins from City Recital Hall, where he served as CEO, leading the organisation through the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic while delivering a new strategic vision, introducing a contemporary music program, and overseeing the first significant technical and capital upgrades in the venue’s history. Boschetti has previously held senior management roles at the Seymour Centre, Symphony Services International, and as General Manager of The Famous Spiegeltent. He is also a current Board Member and Treasurer of FORM Dance Projects.

An accomplished leader and business strategist, Boschetti brings expertise in arts strategy and programming, governance, organisational development, and financial management – capabilities that will support The Pavilion’s next phase of growth.

Commenting on his appointment, Boschetti said: “Having worked closely with the team in 2025, I’m pleased to step into the Executive Director role and continue building on the strong foundations already in place. The development of our first strategic plan and the refinement of our self-presented programming mark important steps for The Pavilion, and I look forward to working with the community as it continues to grow as a cultural hub in the Sutherland Shire.”

Boschetti’s appointment coincides with a landmark year for the organisation. In 2026, The Pavilion will celebrate 50 years since the venue first opened its doors in 1976. To mark the golden anniversary, The Pavilion will deliver two major initiatives: a 50th Anniversary Gala welcoming home professional artists who began their careers in the Sutherland Shire, and The Pavilion’s first-ever self-produced play.

Written by a much-loved Australian playwright, the new work will honour the venue’s unique history while looking firmly to the future, providing meaningful opportunities for local performers to audition for and take part in a major professional production.

“We are just weeks away from announcing our first self-produced work, which will premiere this June,” Boschetti said. “It’s unlike anything previously staged at The Pavilion. With an extraordinary creative team and a locally sourced cast, the production reflects our commitment to celebrating the depth of artistic talent in the Shire while firmly positioning The Pavilion as a leader in the region’s creative future.”
