Have you ever sat and wondered, where did the term “punchline” come from?
Was it because the joke hit so hard it felt like a literal punch to the face? Or perhaps it was the coup de grâce that could make or break someone’s joke? Or maybe it was named after classic seaside theatre puppets Punch and Judy, who always knew how to keep their audiences hanging before delivering a final shocking twist?
Well, whatever the origin, The Pavilion is ready to deliver the ultimate punchlines in our evening of comedy, featuring the legendary Aussie laugh-makers, Dilruk Jayasinha, Geraldine Hickey & Lizzy Hoo.
All under one roof for a night of non-stop hilarity, join us as these three comedy titans regale us with relatable tales and humour-packed stories, all leading to those knockout punchlines!
