August 28 — August 30 Enquire
Seeing an orchestra live is absolutely magical. All those musicians right there, perfectly synchronised, while an incredible sound washes over you.
The Sydney Symphony Orchestra performs at The Pavilion for the first time, making it easier for more young students to share this experience.
This is an interactive experience featuring a selection of favourites chosen by the musicians of the Sydney Symphony. What makes this concert so special is that the musicians also talk about their instruments, covering everything from why they love it to notes about tone colour, range and texture. From Dvořák’s vibrant Slavonic Dances to the flowing melody of Strauss’ Blue Danube, we’ll play the music that made our musicians fall in love with their instrument back in the day and sparked their aspirations to become professional orchestral musicians.
This concert aligns with the NSW Music Curriculum for Stages 1–4 and is delivered by the musicians themselves.
It’s easy to get a quote! Simply complete the short Expression of Interest form on the Sydney Symphony website, select the concerts you’re interested in and an approximation of how many students and teachers will be attending. A member of the Sydney Symphony’s Learning & Engagement team will be in touch with a quote and to help finalise your booking.
