Just announced! DJ Dadbod – aka Ben Lee – opens the night in a raucously fun 30-minute DJ set. If you needed another reason to buy a ticket, you have it!
In one corner, we have an industry all but obliterated by streaming platforms and a pandemic.
In the other, stands Ben Lee, writer of iconic Australian indie-pop hits including Catch My Disease, We’re All in this Together and Cigarettes Will Kill You.
What does it take for a musician/storyteller/raconteur to not only survive, but thrive, under the current conditions?
This concert will reveal all when the unpredictable maverick plays a special one-night-only solo concert at The Pavilion.
Now over three decades into his career, Ben will revive the songs that made him a household name mixed in with new material that Rolling Stone Magazine recently labelled “the best of his career”.
Our hero promises an evening of music, storytelling and pure entertainment.
There are basically no rules in Ben’s creative world, and his career follows the same policy: fun is always the compass. Ben’s solo live show is celebratory, profound and little bit silly – a greatest hits set full of songs you can sing along to.
“I’m a natural party host. I want people to feel safe but have a wild time. That’s when you see people dancing and getting in touch with the kid in them. Their playfulness and curiosity and silliness. That’s the secret of having a good time.”
Learn the secret of a good time when Ben Lee plays his only Sydney show for 2023 at The Pavilion.
