Our aim is to present an opportunity for students to be involved in theatre arts and performance as part of the Department of Education syllabus area of Creative and Performing Arts. The experiences we offer may also provide a pathway for students to follow a career either in the performing arts or the technical side of theatre. We strive for quality of performance at all times.
This mammoth task is only possible thanks to the dedication of teachers, clerical staff and school principals of our NSW Public School system, as they present this opportunity for their students to be involved in a quality performance in a professional venue. If this experience provides the catalyst for one child to develop a career in stage or music, be it sound, lighting, stage management or performing, then the whole exercise has been worthwhile.
We acknowledge the Dharawal people as the Traditional Custodians of the land within the Sutherland Shire. We value and celebrate Dharawal culture and language, and acknowledge Dharawal people’s continuing connection to the land, sea and community. We pay respect to the Elders and their families, past, present and emerging, and through them, to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
