Presented by Play! Kids Festival at The Pavilion

Get ready for a week of fun and excitement with our dance workshops designed for kids of all ages.

Each day features a different dance style, offering something new and exciting to learn. From hip hop to breakdancing, popping & locking to tutting, there’s a workshop for everyone to enjoy!


Workshop Schedule:

Wednesday, 9 October: Hip Hop Fundamentals

Learn to bounce and rock and make new friends along the way! (Ages 2-5)

A crash course in the fundamentals of hip hop including four major moves to create your own hip hop dances at home. (Ages 6+)

Thursday, 10 October: Breakdance

Learn about a street dance style with energetic movements and spinning. (Ages 2-5)

Expand your knowledge to learn footwork, freezes and power moves. (Ages 6+)

Friday, 11 October: Popping & Locking

Learn to develop skills in balance, rhythm and coordination. (Ages 2-5)

Delve into the fundamentals of street dance, including body isolations and popular moves seen in music videos. (Ages 6+)

Saturday, 12 October: Tutting!

Learn to create different shapes, lines, angles & patterns. Tutting is a dance style originally inspired by Egyptian hieroglyphics! (Ages 2-5)

An intricate workshop to form geometrical designs, with a focus on using your hands and fingers. (Ages 6+)
